To be honest, this is a bad Chinese restaurant that I had compared to the others in Germany. It supposes to be a good thing that Ilmenau finally has an authentic Chinese restaurant. But after I tried it, I'm really speechless. The dishes that I ordered are actually pretty bad, especially the braised pork belly and the roast potatoes and beef. They are all supposed to be red instead of black. We also have the crispy fish, which is worse than the pork belly. It is not fresh and tastes really bad, but at least the color is right. The chicken dish tastes normal, It is actually the only 1 food that achieves my level of authentic Chinese food. But at least defrost it before you serve it The owner actually trying to delete my review. Although the review disappeared for some days, it finally got posted again. If you don't face your problem now, there is always a bigger problem afterward.

Compared to other Chinese restaurants in Germany, the expensive dishes are not delicious, some dishes are served before enough cooked, even the white rice is not well.

The best Asian food in Ilmenau! The decor is very nice, it's very spacious and neatly clean. The service is always friendly and the food is very good. The chicken is perfectly tender, not dry and has a crispy skin. The sweet and sour sauce doesn't taste too sweet and goes well with the pasta. It doesn't taste as if everything was floating in the fat during frying and no dish is too oily. Everything is served fresh and in a very nice way so that you can taste each other. The portions are very large and the price is cheap for the amount.

A real culinary discovery! We like Asian cuisine. Our first visit to the China House, however, has reduced all previous experiences at the fast food level. The menu invites you on a journey of discovery that is worthwhile. We probably felt the same way as a tourist, who after several Thuringian grilled sausage stands receives a perfectly prepared roast with dumplings for the first time in a forest inn. The dishes in the China house were perfectly prepared and the taste was a real pleasure! The rooms are somewhat "factual", but the service is all the more cordial. We will come back. There is still a lot to discover!

Very authentic chinese food! Delicious!

Great food, great service, fantastic value for money. A highlight was definitely the bamboo schnapps made from extraordinary glasses! There is also a great selection for vegetarians. Tofu dish is recommended!

Finally an authentic Chinese restaurant serving real Chinese cuisine in this city. The food is nicely prepared and comes with a very big portion. The environment is great.

Very tasty food with a large selection of pasta, shrimp and pork feet. There's something for everyone. In addition, a very friendly service, who brought our four-legged friend a bowl of water immediately and without asking. Really only recommendable. Tomorrow it will go right back there. :)
